Armed Guard Course

LionHeart Security Services provides a two-day, approximately 16-hour course for unarmed guard cardholders to receive armed guard certification through the Arizona Department of Public Safety.

This course provides information on the following:

• First day – 8 hours in class training
• Second day – 4 hours in class, 4 hours range time
• Training on how to handle a firearm
• Training on how to care for a firearm
• After shooting situation training
• Mental, physical, and legal repercussions
• Requires a standard duty-level pistol
• Requires a duty 2-level holster or higher
• Permits are not required
• Arizona Revised Statutes - ARS: Title 13, Criminal Code
• Arizona Department of Public Safety provides armed guard certification after successful completion
• Cost: $75 fee
• Course fee is reimbursed on your first paycheck
